    Good evening Glenoaks Families,

This is Mrs. Siegal with this week announcements.

Tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd there will be Instrumental Music as well as our AHA Jumprope for Heart Day.  All students will be jumping rope to promote heart health and raise money for the AHA.  Please send all students to school in tennis shoes, ready to jump with all donations.  Envelopes must have student name, teacher name and donation amount.

Tuesday, registration begins for all students new to Glenoaks in the 2015 -2016 school year.  If you are a current Glenoaks student there is no need to worry about registering.  Tuesday evening we are having a PTA Restaurant night out at Panda on Glendale Ave.

Wednesday is a regular banking day.

Thursday is Spring Picture day.  All students will get their picture taken.  Ordering photos is optionl.

Friday is a Golden Oak assembly at 8:30 on the playground hosted by our 3rd graders.  All visitors must check in the front office.  Friday is also a 6th grade Movie Night.  Come on out at 6:00pm to see Frozen.

Saturday is our PTA Founders Day luncheon at Cafe Bizou.  Tickets are still available from the PTA.  Congratulations to all of our deserving awardees.

Mark your calendars for March 3rd at 6:30 for Read Across America Night.  Come in your pajamas, eat some milk and cookies and hear authors and illustrators share their work.  All students who bring in wrapped, gently used book will leave with a new book from the book swap.  Every child who attends will also be entered into a drawing to participate in Play with the Principal.

    That's all for now.

Thanks so very much and have a great evening!
